Landscaping seemed an easy path through college many moons ago. Seven years later, a semester in Barcelona Spain, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree, Daniel moved to the Pacific Northwest and picked up a shovel. Daniel & his wife Sierra met as river guides, and after two weeks surviving the Grand Canyon together, joined hands in raising a family, farm, and landscape design & build company. Nestled on the Stillaquamish River in Oso, WA, Daniel, Sierra, and their two kids Maia & Kellon, raised most of their own food, had a private nursery, a bunch of animals, and a food forest that would feed many . Classes, farm tours, medicinal & culinary herbs, seed swaps, permaculture lessons, and veggies were all part of their farm fun.
25 years later, arriving in Walden, VT fall of 2019, as a family the Mencucci’s begin again. Four Directions Farm is their farms new name. This time the kids lead the way with plans, ideas , structures, & multigenerational food growing for the next seven generations. Daniel & Sierra are still designing, consulting, volunteering, & building landscapes , falling in love with central Vermonts peace, diversity, & changing beauty. Spaces VT is the name of their landscape design & build company. Daniel puts together a design of your yard that incorporates nearly thirty years of environmental creative experience. It’s a free consultation to have Daniel or Sierra come look at your yard. Daniel not only does the design, but works with a great crew, Maia & Kellon included, to walk the entire project to a beautiful completion.
Designing and building beautiful landscapes for over 27 years, Daniel & Sierra love building outdoor rooms & Spaces!
